SLEVEN tactics

Matches in SLEVEN are won by tactics, not by your wallet. Let's break down formations, the four situation types and team instructions — and how to adapt to your opponent.

Formations

Your formation sets how many players you keep in defence, midfield and attack. A more attacking shape raises your odds in attacking situations but leaves the back exposed. There is no single "best" formation — it's about the matchup with your opponent.

The four situation types

Every match episode is one of four situations, each rewarding different players:

  • Attack — your positional push: forwards and playmakers decide it.
  • Counter — a fast break: pace and the first pass.
  • Set piece — corners and free kicks: the taker and aerial play.
  • Defence — defending your own situation: defenders and the keeper.

Team instructions

Instructions set tempo and width, shifting the odds of your situations. Aggressive settings boost attack at the cost of defence — balance them for the scoreline and the opponent.

Scouting the opponent

Before a match, study your opponent's strong and weak lines and pick a formation and instructions to exploit them. The right counter-pick often decides the episode.
